The Greater Cape Ann Community Collaboration reminds residents that they are required to wear face masks when attending GCACC clinics, to help stem the spread of COVID-19.
Residents who attend a clinic without a proper mask will be provided one.
On June 14, the Commissioner of Public Health reissued an order requiring individuals age 5 and older to wear masks in certain settings, including clinics.
Face coverings should:
- Cover the nose and mouth
- Fit securely and comfortably against the side of the face
- Be secured with ties or ear loops
- Allow for breathing without restriction
Exceptions may include, but are not limited to:
- Those with a medical or disabling condition
- Those communicating with a person who has a hearing impairment or other disability
- Those in specific circumstances, such as receiving medical or dental care
Reusable masks must be able to be laundered and machine dried without damage or change of shape. Masks and face coverings should be washed depending on frequency of use. Masks should be cleaned in a washing machine, or with soap and water if no washing machine is available
